July, 2006 - DecisionQ works with NIH to improve quality control

DecisionQ Corporation and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) have published an architecture for real time quality control in clinical chemistry laboratories. Researchers from DecisionQ and NIH have been working together to apply Bayesian networks trained by machine-learning to the problem of detecting incorrect test results. Initial work shows this to be a promising approach for detecting analytical errors in near real-time, thus potentially preventing the reporting of erroneous test results.
